Trump takes credit for Lady Gaga's stardom?

According to Politico and The Washington Post, Donald Trump writes in his new book that he helped make Lady Gaga “a big star.”

In “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” the mogul muses, "maybe she became a star because I put her on the Miss Universe Pageant. It’s very possible, who knows what would have happened without it, because she caused a sensation.”
In case you didn’t catch that particular beauty competition, Lady Gaga performed at the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant. A latex-clad Mother Monster sang her hit “Just Dance” as contestants shook their stuff in bikinis.
